Fire curtains are heavy curtains traditionally made of iron or fibreglass which are designed to be able to drop on the front of the stage, in the event that a fire breaks out on-stage, to ensure that the audience is not endangered.

Fire curtains and Smoke curtains are active Fire Barrier assemblies which comprise of technologically advanced fire resistant fabric encased in a compact steel housing. This fire barrier allows evacuation of occupants or rescue personnel with emergency retract buttons.

Smoke curtains remain invisibly retracted until activated by an alarm, detector signal or manual switch. This allows the safe evacuation of people from buildings, whilst reducing fire damage by preventing smoke logging, which enables fire-fighting, reduces temperatures and ultimately delays the spread of fire.
